Policy on Cooperation and Collaboration with Electronic Payment Service Providers
The Tokyo Star Bank, Limited (the “Bank”) hereby announces our policy on cooperation and collaboration with electronic payment service providers, pursuant to Article 10 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Banking Act, etc. (Act No. 49 of 2017), as follows. Any changes to this policy will be announced on our website.
- 1From the perspective of promoting open innovation and improving user convenience, our basic policy is to collaborate and cooperate with a number of electronic payment service providers, while taking care to ensure user protection. We plan to take the following action concerning the provision of open APIs based on this basic policy.
- 2In our corporate business, we have completed preparations for read and write API linkage for customers who have internet banking contracts.
- 3In our personal banking business, we have completed preparations for read API linkage for customers who have internet banking contracts. We will continue to consider the possibility of providing write API linkage and API linkage to customers other than customers with whom we have internet banking contracts, while taking into account user needs and the status of studies on cooperative business models.
- 4When a customer uses the services of an electronic payment service provider linked to the Bank for either corporate or personal banking services, such use shall be in accordance with the contract between the relevant electronic payment service provider and the customer.
- 5When developing the API provision infrastructure for our corporate banking business, the Bank shall design, operate and maintain the infrastructure using the services of NTT DATA Corporation. When developing the read API provision infrastructure for our personal banking business, the Bank shall design, operate and maintain the infrastructure using the services of Nomura Research Institute, Ltd.
