For customers whose Star One JPY ordinary deposit account transaction details include the description "salary deposit” (“Kyuyo-furikomi” (給与振込) or “kyu-furi” (給振)) or “pension” (“Nenkin” (年金)), or for customers whose transaction description is “inter-bank transfer” (“furikomi” (振込)) but for whom we are able to confirm that the transaction is a salary deposit or receipt of a pension, we will generally apply a preferential interest rate from the fifth business day of the following month.
Conditions apply, so refer to the information here when designating a salary deposit account, and here when designating a pension deposit account. (The linked page is available in Japanese only)
  2. *2For customers using a Star One account, ATM fees for ATMs of partnered financial institutions such as Japan Post Bank and Seven Bank are effectively free up to 8 times per month. Click here for information on which ATMs you can use. (The linked page is available in Japanese only)
  3. *3Fees are charged on using an ATM, but are reimbursed via cash back on the first bank business day of the following month. However, the maximum cashback amount shall be limited to 10% of the average deposit balance for the month in which the fees were incurred.
Customers who have closed their accounts at the time of the cashback deposit are not eligible.
